Pair of Victorian Bristol Blue scent bottles

Stock Number: 3870

This is what we believe to be a pair of Victorian, hand-blown, "Bristol" Blue scent bottles, dating from the middle of the 19th century, c1850.   They have rough pontil marks to the bases.
The scent bottles are in excellent condition for their age.  This means, of course, that they show the age related wear and tear to both the rims of the bases consistent with some 150 years of use.
The scent bottles are in the "Bristol" Blue colourway and are 11.5 cm (4.6 inches) in height to the tops of the stoppers.  They are 7 cm (2.8 inches) in width at their widest points. Each weighs 130 gm.  One of the stoppers is of a very slightly different shade of blue and is maybe a later replacement.  There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
Two scent bottles that would add sophistication to any bathroom or bedroom.
